After the phenomenal success of Kai Po Che!, Disney UTV is producing a movie based on another of author Chetan Bhagat's bestseller Revolution 2020 - and has roped in Raj Kumar Gupta to direct the screen adaptation of the novel.

Rajkumar Gupta's maiden directorial project was Rajeev Khandelwal's Bollywood debut Aamir. While the filmmaker has now started working with known names like Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi, he says having stars doesn't guarantee the success of any film.

Director Rajkumar Gupta feels that independent filmmakers, who are successfully telling their stories on the big screen, need some support from the industry and adds that such help can also pave the way for upcoming talent.

Director Rajkumar Gupta, who is looking forward to the release of his film Ghanchakkar, says he would not have made the movie if leading lady Vidya Balan would not have said yes.
