The state government is planning to set up rooftop grid connected Solar PV power plants in 1,000 schools in West Bengal, power and non-conventional energy sources minister Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay told the Assembly on Wednesday.

With this, the state-owned company's total capacity of non-conventional energy projects has reached 95 MW.
