Former cop turned activist YP Singh is holding a press meet in Mumbai to show what he says is an 'expose' on how the Mumbai police helped actor Salman Khan's hit and run case drag on for 10 years. According to Mr Singh, other accident cases in Mumbai like the Nooriya Haveliwala case and the Alistair Pereira case were completed within two years.

Nooriya Haveliwala was released on bail on Sunday after the police failed to file the chargesheet in the drunk driving case within the stipulated 60-day period. The police are still helpless, as they are yet to get information on the drugs consumed by Nooriya.

Mumbai woman driver 27-year-old Nooriya Yusuf Haweliwala, who was arrested after her SUV hit into six people killing two including a policeman on January 30, was granted bail on surety of Rs 15,000 by a Mumbai court on Wednesday.
