A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was arrested from a hospital in Srinagar today, the police said. Nisar Ahmad Dar, a resident of the Hajin area of Bandipore district in north Kashmir, was arrested by the Special Operations Group of the Jammu and Kashmir Police from Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital in the city, a police official said.

A young, unarmed jawan of the Border Security Force was dragged out of his north Kashmir house and shot dead by terrorists on Wednesday evening when he and his family resisted the attempt to kidnap him. The terrorists also opened fire at his family too, injuring four of them including an aunt. Constable Mohammad Ramzan Parray, 31, died on the spot.
