The Indian Space Research Organisation has launched two British satellites tonight for which India will earn upwards of Rs 200 crore. It is the 44th launch of the Indian rocket the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) at Sriharikota, India's rocket port on the coast of the Bay of Bengal in Andhra Pradesh.

The 33-hour countdown for the launch of two earth observation satellites on-board PSLV from the space port of Sriharikota, about 110 kilometers from Chennai, began at 1.08 PM on Saturday.

Indian rocket Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) will put into orbit on Sunday two foreign satellites - NovaSAR and S1-4 - together weighing 889 kg, said a top official.
