The Delhi High Court on Monday asked the Centre whether it was willing to grant permission to the mother of a Kerala woman, who is on death row in Yemen for killing a Yemeni national, to travel to that country to negotiate blood money.

The Delhi High Court on Saturday sought the Centre's response on a plea by the mother of a Kerala woman, who is on death row in Yemen for killing a Yemini national, seeking facilitation of her travel to that country.

The Centre is exploring all options including getting pardon to an Indian nurse facing capital punishment in Yemen for allegedly killing a Yemeni businessman in 2017, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said.

Government today said it was trying to ascertain reports of at least four Indian nurses being gunned down in Aden city in strife-torn Yemen. "We have seen the reports and are trying to ascertain the details," External Affairs Ministry Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.

Yemeni security officials say gunmen have attacked a bus carrying nurses from a military hospital in the southern city of Aden, killing eight people, including two women, and wounding around a dozen others.
