Odisha Bomb Blast

A journalist in Odisha's Kalahandi district was on Saturday killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast suspected to be done by Maoists targeting security personnel, a police officer said.

At least two persons were injured when unidentified peopletriggered bomb blasts at five locations in Polasra town in Odisha's Ganjam district, the police said today.

The police today claimed to have cracked the wedding gift parcel bomb case of Bolangir alleging that a college lecturer masterminded it for being replaced by the mother of one of the two persons killed in the blast in February.

Suspected Maoists triggered an explosion on Visakhapatnam-Raipur railway line in Rayagada district early today, injuring one person and blowing up a portion of track that led to disruption of train services on the route.

Anti-Posco leader Abhay Sahu was arrested today in connection with several cases including a bomb blast in the proposed steel project site in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district, the police said.
