Odisha Student Shot Dead

External Affairs Minister SM Krishna has assured the Odisha government that the Centre will "seriously" take up the issue of the murder of a 24-year-old student from the state in Boston with US officials.

A graduate student from Odisha was shot dead in Boston on Thursday, according to reports. The police have so far not classified the murder as racially motivated or as a hate crime.
