Pak Diplomat Manhandled

Two people, including a motorcyclist, have been arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with the assault on a Pakistani diplomat after an accident in New Delhi. They have charged the two under Section 279 (rash and negligent driving) and Section 336 (act of endangering life).

A Pakistani diplomat and his driver were manhandled by around 10 people in New Delhi this evening, the Pakistan High Commission has claimed. The High Commission also says it has lodged a strong protest with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) saying the Government of India should ensure safety of its diplomats as per the Vienna Convention.
