Parents Of Gangrape Victim

With the Supreme Court rejecting the plea against release of the juvenile convict, the parents of the December 16 gang-rape victim today said the courts have failed them and asked how many Nirbhayas would it take for the laws to change.

"We have failed. Now there is no hope for justice," said the distraught parents of December 16, 2012 gangarape victim on the eve of the third anniversary of the incident that shook the nation as they appealed not to release the juvenile convict.

With less than two days to go for the release of the juvenile convict in the December 16 gang-rape case, the victim's parents today feared that he might be a "threat to society" and demanded that his mental condition be assessed before setting him free.

The parents of the December 16 gangrape and murder victim have demanded that the face of juvenile convict who was the "most brutal" of all the six offenders, should be shown to the world before he is released citing "he is a threat to the society".

Saryug Singh, father of Delhi gang-rape accused Akshay Thakur, has locked himself in his house along with his wife and security men deputed outside saying they hear frequent wails from inside since the victim's death.
