More than four years after the infamous Park Street gangrape case, Kolkata Police has arrested the main accused from Uttar Pradesh.

The special public prosecutor in Suzette Jordan's gang rape case, Sharbani Roy, was summarily axed by the West Bengal government from its panel of lawyers.

The Calcutta High Court today directed that IPS officer Damayanti Sen, who had solved the sensational Park Street gang-rape case, would investigate the alleged murder of a gang-rape victim at Madhyamgram on the outskirts of Kolkata.
