Internationally-acclaimed scientist Partho Sarothi Ray, who was arrested earlier this month for his alleged role in protests against slum evictions in Kolkata, has said that he was implicated in a false case. Professor Ray was released today.

Molecular biologist Partho Sarathi Ray, who was arrested in Kolkata for his alleged role in protests against recent evictions from a slum in the city, has been released from Alipore jail. Mr Ray was granted bail yesterday.
