Days after leading milk suppliers Amul and Mother Dairy each hiked milk prices by up to Rs 2 per litre, new entrant in the dairy industry Patanjali Dairy has launched its toned milk and cow butter products at a cheaper rate than the other leading dairy companies.

Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth has now ventured into the dairy sector with an aim to expand its consumer products portfolio. The firm launched five products including cow milk, curd, buttermilk, paneer, cattle feed and feed supplements.

Yoga guru Ramdev said Patanjali will soon foray into dairy business, adding that the sector will cross the Rs 5 lakh crore mark by 2022.

Yoga guru Ramdev is now aiming to test waters in dairy and baby-care products to expand Patanjali's 'swadeshi' consumer products portfolio that is expected to clock a turnover to Rs 10,000 crore this fiscal.
