The Patna High Court on Tuesday granted bail to school teacher Rupam Pathak who had stabbed to death a BJP legislator apparently to avenge her rape for three years, a lawyer said.

Badlapur police arrested the Third Year BCom student under sections of the Information Technology Act on Wednesday. Suraj Ravi Bhat, a student of Pathak High School and Junior College, Santacruz (East) and a resident of Sunderbaug Kurla Kamani, also sent lewd text messages to the girl after their friendship went sour.
