Phantom Ban

A Pakistani court today dismissed a petition seeking a permanent ban on release of Indian films in the country, days after the same court banned the screening of "Phantom" on a petition by Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief and Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

Phantom is set in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and deals with global terrorism. The film is based on Hussain Zaidi's novel Mumbai Avengers. It was recently banned by a Pakistani court after Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed argued that it contained 'filthy propaganda' against him and his outfit

"The security of all our actors is extremely important for us and now that his identity is revealed, there are precautionary measures being taken," the film's spokesperson said in a statement. "When Kabir told me about the film, I immediately asked him 'Are you sure it is safe to make the film?' He said yes, and then explained more about the film," said Katrina
