Police Medal For Bravery

CRPF officer Prakash Ranjan Mishra has been decorated with a gallantry medal for the 8th time, making him the highest recipient of bravery medals among the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), a government order said on Wednesday.

Twenty-three personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) this Independence Day. Out of these, at least 20 have been awarded for their bravery in the face-off with China in eastern Ladakh

Manipur Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Thounaojam Brinda on Friday returned his Chief Minister's Gallantry Medal, she received for a drugs probe, in which the former Bharatiya Janata Party ADC chairman and six others, were implicated.

A Jammu and Kashmir police officer decorated with the President's medal for bravery was caught on Saturday with two terrorists, travelling in a vehicle on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway. The terrorists were on their way to Delhi, police sources said.
