Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly, VS Achuthanandan, a leading crowd puller of the CPM's Assembly election rallies, on Friday stunned party workers by making only a one line speech in Poonjar segment while campaigning for a LDF candidate.

The burly PC George - a delight for every cartoonist - is currently fighting for his pride as he has been dumped by both the political fronts in Kerala and is contesting on his own, on his home turf Poonjar which has returned him six of the seven times he has contested.

A day after the Left Democratic Front denied a ticket to him for the May 16 Assembly polls in Kerala, former government chief whip PC George today hit out at the CPI(M), alleging that the main Left party made "payment decision" with regard to his sitting Poonjar Assembly seat.
