A Dalit couple allegedly committed suicide in Ahmandpur village in Prabhudhnagar district over a family dispute, police said in Muzaffarnagar on Friday.

Two factions of the Samajwadi Party (SP) clashed with each other in Shamli town in Prabhudhnagar district, leaving several injured, police said. The incident took place when party members met on Tuesday to discuss the party's defeat in Prabudhnagar in the recently held Assembly polls, police said.
