BS6 Fuel Now Available In Delhi, Says Environment Minister

Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday informed Rajya Sabha that fuel conforming to stringent BS-VI emission norms has been introduced in the national capital to reduce air pollution. The Minister also informed the Upper House that sale of BS-VI compliant vehicles would begin in the country from next year.

The Narendra Modi-led NDA government has taken a historic decision to leapfrog into Euro VI emission norms by 2020, four years prior to what the earlier Congress-led government planned to do so, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said today.
