The Home Ministry has refused to disclose the make, model and registration numbers of cars used by the President which display the state emblem in place of license plates, saying it concerns national security and revealing such details might pose a threat to the First Citizen of the country.

When President Barack Obama arrives in Delhi on Sunday, he will land in the world's most sophisticated aircraft, Air Force One. Landing well ahead of him will be special transport planes that will bring to Delhi the Beast and its stand-in - bulletproof limousines- which will be used by the President.

A seven-layer security ring will be thrown around the VVIP enclosure on Rajpath for the Republic Day parade to be witnessed by US President Barack Obama and the airspace over the area would be monitored by a radar to be specially set up.

After becoming the 13th President of India, Pranab Mukherjee will not only have a change in designation and address, but also in his mode of transport. In place of his favourite bullet-proof Ambassador, Mr Mukherjee will get a swanky Mercedes Benz limousine to go around.
