Mumbai Police step up efforts to nab child kidnapper caught on camera at Mumbai station

A day after they released CCTV footage from the city's biggest train station which shows a man kidnapping a three-year-old girl, the Mumbai Police has stepped up its efforts to nab the kidnapper and locate the missing child.

Delhi Police gets 26/11 handler Abu Jundal's custody for another 15 days

The Delhi Police has got a 15-day extension of the custody of 26/11 handler and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative Syed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal from the Tis Hazari Court. The Special Cell of the Delhi Police had sought an extension of his remand, which ended today.

Sharad Pawar quits as head of ministers' group for Telecom

Just days after he was appointed as head of Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) on Telecom, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has written to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh wanting to step down. The PM has accepted Mr Pawar's request to be recused of the additional charge.

The government has informed the Supreme Court that all natural resources cannot be auctioned.The government, in an affidavit says, auctioning all natural resources will affect India's economic growth. The government also says the judiciary cannot go into policy decisions.

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah has been issued summons by the anti-corruption court in Hyderabad on August 2. He has been summoned to Hyderabad for denotifying 9 acres of prime land in the Ameerpet area of the city, worth Rs 300 crore, in July 2010.
