Properties Seized In Noida

Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Monday attached "ill-gotten properties" including houses and shops estimated to be worth over Rs 17 crore belonging to a gangster, officials said.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration Wednesday attached flats, villas and land plots worth Rs 344.23 crore over the non-payment of dues by 32 real estate developers, according to an official order.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police on Monday said it has attached a property worth Rs 25 crore of a key aide of mafia Sundar Bhati operating in western Uttar Pradesh.

Properties worth Rs 17.25 crore belonging to "builder mafias" were attached by the Gautam Buddh Nagar police in connection with illegal constructions in Greater Noida's Shahberi, officials said on Friday.

A plot of land in Noida near Delhi worth Rs 400 crore, said to belong to Uttar Pradesh politician Mayawati's brother, was seized by the Income Tax department today.

According to an ED order, the agency has seized movable and immovable properties of the firm-- Ms N K Proteins-- in Mumbai, Noida, Ahmedabad and Palanpur in Gujarat under the criminal provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
