In a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation of the MD drug seizure at Pimpri Chinchwad in Maharashtra's Pune, a police sub-inspector has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the drug racket in the local area.

In a major crackdown, the Pune police arrested a 32-year-old man with 2.38 kg of drugs worth over Rs 2 crore from Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune district.

The drug was concealed in ready-to-eat food packets, the Pune Police said.

The Narcotics Cell of Pune Customs on Wednesday arrested four people and seized over 1 kg of the drug worth Rs 5 crore in two separate cases, officials said.
