The agitating FTII students started their 'rebel' film festival on Tuesday, featuring films made by the current and past students of the film institute, in protest against the exclusion of their films from the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

The much-hyped opening ceremony of 10th chapter of Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) tuned into a complete fiasco as around 400 delegates, who were not able to see legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in flesh and blood during the event, rose in rebellion against the organisers yesterday evening.

Unhappy over the fact that they were forced to watch Amitabh's felicitation on multiplex screens, the delegates started shouting slogans.

Asha Bhosle and Amitabh Bachchan were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 10th edition of the Pune International Film Festival.
