As COVID-19 Cases Rise, Punjab Orders Curbs On Indoor, Outdoor Gatherings

The Punjab government today ordered curbs on indoor and outdoor gatherings from March 1 and authorised Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to impose night-curfew in COVID-19 hotspots in their districts, if needed.

Punjab Hotspot Declared Coronavirus Free, 18 Patients Cured

A 16-year-old was discharged today from a hospital in Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS) Nagar district, where no infected person now remains under treatment. SBS Nagar was the first Punjab district to report a COVID-19 death. But the other 18 infected people have now been cured in what was initially regarded as a coronavirus hotspot.

Top officials from Delhi, Punjab and Haryana listed out the measures adopted by them to tackle air pollution over the past 24 hours in a review meeting held by the Prime Minister's Office on Monday.
