An architect in Punjab has designed a jet-shaped vehicle and named it 'Punjab Rafale'. Inspired by the Rafale fighter jets, the vehicle looks like an aircraft but cannot fly. It can run at a speed of 15 to 20 kmph and has been manufactured in Bathinda's Rama Mandi.

Congress general secretary Harish Rawat on Thursday indicated a "role" for Navjot Singh Sidhu in Punjab where polls are due in a little over a year and called the leader, who has been staying away from party activities after resigning as cabinet minister last year, as Congress' Rafale.

Rahul Gandhi today resumed his attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him in a tweet of "fleeing" parliament instead of facing questions on the Rafale jet deal. During a debate in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, the Congress president had charged that the PM is "hiding in his room" and put up "four questions" on the Rs 58,000 crore deal.

Going beyond the slur used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Punjab minister Navjot Sidhu Saturday said even the "watchman's dog" was into stealing.

Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu's hug to Pakistan's army chief during his visit to Pakistan for the swearing-in of Prime Minister Imran Khan in August had stirred up a storm back home. The gesture could have been avoided, many said, but Mr Sidhu had played it down saying it was just a "jhappi" (hug).

He denied union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal's claim that he had been "reprimanded" by foreign minister Sushma Swaraj.
