The first offence of exceeding a speed limit will attract a fine of Rs 1,000 and suspension of the offender's driver's license for three months. For drunk driving, the fine is Rs 5,000 in addition to the license suspension for the same duration.

Commuters travelling between Delhi and Gurgaon will not have to pay toll till Monday during rush hours. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has extended the "happy hours" it declared last week to keep the area near the toll plaza in Gurgaon free of traffic jams.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court today ruled that commercial vehicle will have to resume paying toll at the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway from 6 pm today. A decision on private vehicles will however be announced after a hearing on Tuesday.
