Puri Bus Accident

A bus carrying pilgrims from Odisha's Puri met with an accident leaving 25 people injured, informed the officials on Sunday.

Three people were killed and 40 others were injured when a bus, going to Paradip from Astarang, fell into a canal near Konark in Odisha's Puri district today. The injured people have been admitted to Kakatpur Hospital.

Five passengers were killed and 30 injured when a bus returning from Puri hit a trailer at Kashyappur in Howrah district on NH 6 today.

The toll in the bus accident near Malli on the Palampur-Ashapuri road rose to 34 with authorities recovering 20 more bodies, police said. Five others, including two women and a child, were seriously injured in the mishap which took place when a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus rolled 1000 ft down into a deep gorge on Monday.
