Race Course Metro Station

The Race Course Metro station, located few metres away from the Prime Minister's official residence, will soon be known as Lok Kalyan Marg station, in line with the recent renaming of the iconic British-era road in posh Lutyens' Delhi.

A 20-year-old girl, a student of Delhi University allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train at Race Course metro station this evening. The incident took place at the Yellow Line at around 3:45 PM.

On Day 2 of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's protest against the Centre and Delhi Police, four metro stations in central Delhi - Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan and Race Course - are closed from early this morning and will remain so until further notice.
