Taxi aggregator Ola today said that it has introduced number masking on its platform which will enable mobile numbers of customers to remain undisclosed to drivers.

The AAP government today informed the Delhi High Court that it will come up with specific guidelines within 10 days regarding plying of radio taxis in the national capital including safety norms for women and other passengers.

In order to ensure women safety, Delhi government has ordered all taxi operators to install GPS in their vehicles, failing which fitness certificate will not be issued to them.

US online taxi-hailing service Uber has applied for a radio taxi licence and will restart operations in India's capital, after it was banned following allegations that one of its drivers raped a female passenger, a company spokesman said.
