The railway's safety panel on Saturday began its inquiry into Wednesday's derailment of the Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express in Bihar's Saran district that claimed four lives and injured 22 others.

The incident at New Delhi Railway Station which claimed two lives and injured eight others happened due to tripping of passengers at the foot-over bridge and not due to a stampede on the platform, Railways said on Monday night.
