Indian Railways' Reverse Auction To Save Rs 20,000 Crore Annually
To ensure substantial savings for the Indian Railways, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has suggested implementation of electronic reverse auction or ERA for all high value procurements which will result in a 10 per cent saving in costs and a total saving of up to 20,000 crore rupees in procurement.
