The Raipur police in Chhattisgarh have launched a novel initiative to put up billboards with pictures of persons who help road accident victims and reward them for their good work.

Six women were killed and five others, including a driver, injured after the SUV they were travelling in crashed into a road divider on a national highway in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday morning, police said.

14-year-old child artist Shivlekh Singh, who has acted in several Hindi TV serials, died in a road accident outside Chhattisgarh's Raipur on Thursday, the police said. His parents were injured after their car collided with a truck.
