Rajasthan Private Doctors Protest

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said that they have reached a consensus with the protesting doctors over the Right to Health bill.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday alleged that a "lobby" associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was inciting and misguiding private doctors agitating against Right to Health Bill in the state while patients are suffering.

Private doctors protesting against the Rajasthan Right to Heath Bill took out a massive rally in Jaipur on Monday in a show of strength and to press their demand for its withdrawal.

Amid continuing protests by private doctors, the Rajasthan Assembly on Tuesday passed a bill that gives people the right to free emergency treatment at government hospitals and privately-run establishments.
