• Fresh violence in Assam, Rajdhani attacked

  Fresh violence today rocked the trouble-torn Bodoland Territorial Administered Districts in Assam where the Rajdhani Express was attacked by some persons even as the entire train services to and from the Northeast was hit.

  Fresh incidents of arson in interior areas of Kokrajhar district were reported yesterday leading to shoot-at-sight orders, indefinite curfew and flag march by army even as the toll in the ethnic violence Assam rose to 21.

• CRPF arrests Maoist accused in Rajdhani Express attack

  The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has arrested wanted Maoist Santo Singh in West Midnapore district in West Bengal on Tuesday morning. Santo Singh is the key accused in the March 22 Bhubaneswar-Delhi Rajdhani Express attack and also the killing of six CRPF personnel.More details are awaited.
