Rajesh Tope Covid-19 Positive

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Thursday said that despite a high positive rate, at least 95 per cent of beds are vacant or the hospitalisation is lesser compared to the second wave of COVID-19.

Mumbai and 24 other districts of Maharashtra which have reported COVID-19 positivity rates lower than the state's average are likely to get more relaxation from restrictions, state Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Thursday.

The Maharashtra government has decided to stop home quarantining of COVID patients in 18 districts where positivity rate is high and all active patients in these areas would be admitted to COVID Care Centers, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said Tuesday.

Amid a marked resurgence of Covid-19 infections in Maharashtra over the past few weeks, a number of the state's political leaders and ministers, including the health in-charge, Rajesh Tope, have declared that they have tested positive for the disease.
