Ramzan From Sunday

Every year, the sighting of the Ramzan moon brings great cheer for Muslims as they scamper to make preparations for fasting and head to mosques to begin special 'Taraweeh' prayers.

In the backdrop of rise in cross-border firing in Jammu and Kashmir and the death of two soldiers in Akhnoor sector on Sunday, Union minister Hansraj Ahir said the government would be "constrained" to revoke the Ramzan ceasefire it had announced on May 16, if Pakistan continued to push terrorists across the border.

Ramzan, the month of fasting in Islam, will begin from Sunday as the moon was not sighted today.
