Former Maharashtra minister and senior Congress leader Ranjeet Deshmukh has filed a police complaint against his younger son for "forcibly occupying" his house and "not vacating it" despite repeated requests, police said today.

The agitation for separate Vidarbha was revived today when thousands of youths, led by activist Ashish Deshmukh, son of Congress leader Ranjeet Deshmukh, launched a "padyatra" demanding statehood for the region in Eastern Maharashtra.
