Rape Survivor Acid Attack

A 35-year-old gang-rape survivor in Uttar Pradesh - given 24-hour police protection after multiple acid attacks over the past few years - was attacked for the fourth time on Saturday evening, say the police. The incident allegedly took place at her hostel in Lucknow, just a few steps from an armed guard posted for her protection.

A 25-year-old woman who refused to drop charges against a man accused of raping her last month in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, was attacked with acid on Sunday. In hospital with burns on her face and neck, she told NDTV: "We know it will not stop here."
