Rape Victim To Be Shifted To Delhi

The family of the Hathras victim, who died after allegedly being gangraped, wants to shift to Delhi from their village and fight their case there.

A 20-year-old woman, gang-raped and tortured by four men in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras two weeks ago, died this morning at a hospital in Delhi. The woman had suffered multiple fractures, paralysis and a deep gash in her tongue in the savage assault compared by many to the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape.

A committee of doctors today decided to shift the dalit rape victim of Pipili to AIIMS in New Delhi for better treatment, even as the CID released a photograph of the prime accused in the case.
