Raymond Ltd., one of the world's biggest producers of suit fabric, fell for the seventh day in Mumbai as the acrimonious separation between its billionaire Chairman Gautam Singhania and his wife sparked uncertainty among investors.

Raymond Ltd on Monday reported over four-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 264.97 crore for the fourth quarter ended in March 2022, helped by a buoyant demand and strong consumer sentiments during the period.

Shares of diversified group Raymond today tanked 5.5 per cent after the company reported widening of consolidated net loss to Rs 16.61 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.

Raymond shares rallied as much as 10 per cent on Wednesday at day's high of Rs 437 after the textile company reported a strong performance in its fourth quarter.

Shares of Raymond Ltd jumped as much as 1.74 per cent in an otherwise weak market to hit intraday high of Rs 428.75 after the Maharashtra government gave nod to Raymond group to set up textile unit in Vidarbha.

Textiles major Raymond on Monday said workers at its Chhindwara plant in Madhya Pradesh have gone on strike.

On April 3, 2015, Raymond had said that Silver Spark Apparel had entered into a share purchase agreement with Gokaldas Exports to buy Robot Systems.

It further informed that its wholly owned subsidiary Silver Spark Apparel Ltd (SSAL) in Sharjah, will invest to set up garmenting facility in Ethiopia, East Africa.

The company reported a 26 per cent fall in its September quarter net profit. Traders say investors took the opportunity to book profits after the stock surged 67 per cent so far this year.
