Refused A Hearse Van

The woman, identified as Kunwarbai Banshkar, was a resident of Mastapur village. Her family was allegedly refused a mortuary van by the district hospital after she died due to a snake bite.

A nine-year-old girl who had been suffering from high fever for the last six days died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna after she was allegedly denied timely treatment. Her father was also forced to carry her body on his shoulder as he was reportedly refused a hearse van by the hospital authorities.

First a snake bite and alleged delay in treatment took his life, then his family wasn't provided a hearse van to take him home. His brother and sister-in-law carried his body in a bedsheet.

In yet another shocking incident, a family was forced to carry a young girl's dead body from the hospital on a hand cart. In Chattisgarh's Rajnandgaon, 75 km from Raipur, which happens to be Chief Minister Raman Singh's constituency, the girl's family alleged that they were refused a hearse van to take her dead body home in Bakhru Tola
