Relief For Cyclone Hit Areas

The NDRF has earmarked 30 teams to launch rescue and relief operations in view of the cyclone "Nivar" that is expected to hit the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry between Tuesday and Thursday, officials said on Monday.

Prime Minister Modi this evening announced an advance financial assistance of Rs 500 crore for Odisha after an aerial survey of areas hit by cyclone Amphan and holding a review meeting with Governor Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
