Four people have died and over 6.5 lakh people have been affected by floods in Assam, nearly 2 lakh people being shifted to relief camps, as rescue teams by state government, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the Indian Army are trying to move people to safer areas. There are reports of people missing in some areas as well as heavy rains...

16 tribal students at a relief camp in Assam's Deosiri are to appear for their class 10 exams in February. They have only a few books to prepare for the crucial examinations - the rest were burnt when Bodo militants set fire to their homes in December.
