13 Suspected ISIS Sympathisers Arrested In Nationwide Terror Crackdown

Thirteen of the 14 people who were picked up by the National Investigation Agency yesterday as suspected sympathisers of ISIS have been arrested, the Home Ministry said today. Five of them were arrested yesterday by the NIA as part of a nationwide anti-terror sweep ahead of Republic Day celebrations on January 26.

India has increased its budget for the armed forces by five percent. Sanctioning a little over Rs. 200,000 crore for this fiscal year, Finance Minister P Chidambaram promised Parliament that "constraints will not come in the way of providing any additional requirement for the security of the nation."
