Early in the morning on the country's 72nd Independence Day, Geeta was talking a walk near her home in Chennai's Valasaravakkam when she heard what appeared to be the sound of someone crying. What grabbed her attention was the source of the sound -- it was coming from a storm water drain.

'Kamal Is Kalam', Say Posters As Actor Launches Party Today In Madurai

At around 8 this morning, actor Kamal Haasan reached the home of former President APJ Abdul Kalam in Tamil Nadu's Rameswaram, from where he will travel to Madurai about 170 km away, to launch his new political party by flying its flag. At the 6 pm launch in Madurai, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will join him.
