Death-row convict Surinder Koli's mother today met her son for the first time in eight years since he was lodged in jail for the Nithari serial killings.

Just after midnight, a Supreme Court judge said in a special order from his home that Surinder Koli, found guilty of killing several children and young women at a house near Delhi, will not be executed for at least a week.

In a fresh development in Nithari serial murder cases, Ghaziabad sessions court has issued death warrant against Surinder Koli in connection with the brutal killing of 14-year-old Rimpa Halder.
