The father of a 19-year-old girl has been arrested in western Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar for allegedly killing his daughter, the police said.

The last polio victim, Rukhsar, was detected at a remote village in West Bengal's Howrah district three years ago.

Actress Rukhsar says that she enjoyed playing Dr Mallika in television show Kuch Toh Loh Kahenge.

Faruk Kabir, who debuted as an actor and director in critically acclaimed film Allah Ke Bande, and Rukhsar have admitted to their marriage.
