India on Thursday participated in a video conference of SAARC health ministers hosted by Pakistan to promote greater regional cooperation to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

India slammed Pakistan on Thursday for raising Kashmir during a SAARC video-conference earlier this week, saying Islamabad "misused" the occasion since it was not a political platform, but a humanitarian one.

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram today said that India's video conference with other SAARC nations - Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka - on Sunday over coronavirus pandemic has "left us no wiser".

SAARC nations on Sunday vowed to jointly combat coronavirus as Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed an emergency fund with an initial offer of USD 10 million from India and asserted that the region can best respond to the pandemic by coming together and not growing apart.
