"He died last night. He had trouble breathing when we took him to a hospital in Saket where doctors pronounced him dead. My father had some breathing problems," said Ustad Sabri Khan's son Kamal. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2006. He had also received the Sahitya Kala Parishad award
